🌿 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗶

Fast-forward to today – I live in 𝗣𝗮𝗸 𝗡𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵, 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗶, 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, surrounded by nature, peace, and purpose.

Here, my work has shifted from 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘀 to 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀, from 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 to the 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀.

And in this quiet life by the sea, my faith grew stronger.

A few days ago, I met a couple from 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 – 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻.

We talked about homes, faith, and science.

They asked me how a physicist could believe in God.

I said,

“𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘎𝘰𝘥 – 𝘪𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘏𝘪𝘮.”

That conversation brought back everything – my time in the lab, the thrill of discovery, and the exact moment when science began to whisper the name of God.

🌌 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗴𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 17:28

by Sarah Joan

In 2012, the world of physics celebrated one of its greatest discoveries – the 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗴𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗻, often called “𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲.”

At 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗡’𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿, scientists finally confirmed the existence of the 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 – an 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 that fills the universe and gives all matter its mass.

𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 says:

➡️ 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦.

But long before 2012, this truth was already written in 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲:

> “𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙃𝙞𝙢 𝙬𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜.” – 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙨 17:28

⚛️ 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘂 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱

I still remember that year vividly. I had the honor of representing Thailand at the 62𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘂 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆.

At that time, I was a Ph.D. student at 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, and I had also completed part of my physics research at 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗢𝗵𝗶𝗼.

I sat among some of the brightest minds in the world, waiting for the announcement of the “𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲.”

We were counting down to history – the moment physics would confirm something that had puzzled scientists for decades.

Back then, I was a 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘀𝘁, driven by data and theory, not faith.

My excitement was scientific – not spiritual.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀.

🌿 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗯 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗶

Shortly after the Lindau meeting – near the end of my Ph.D. – my husband and I came to Pranburi for a short vacation.

We didn’t understand why, but from the moment we arrived, we both felt it – 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 we couldn’t explain.

We returned home, but our hearts stayed in Pranburi.

Despite all the opportunities before us – a bright career in science, the ability to live anywhere in the world – we chose to 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻.

Nobody understood us.

Not my professors, not my peers, not even my family.

They wondered why I would give up a promising career to live 𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻.

But 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱’𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 – 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

And though we didn’t have much, God gave us enough – enough to survive, to grow, and to discover the other side of life I’d never experienced:

👩‍👩‍👧 Family.

👩‍🏫 Teaching little children.

🌱 Growing plants and trees of all kinds.

🧵 Sewing clothes.

📊 Trading stocks and crypto.

🤖 Learning data science and machine learning.

🏡 Buying, selling, and building homes from scratch.

🚗 Even selling cars when needed.

👩‍🏫 Homeschooling my own children, creating a space where their minds can flourish, and knowing the lessons we share will shape their futures forever.

From knowing no one, I came to be known – not for my titles, but for 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁, 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

And that is how Sarah Joan Thailand was born – not from business ambition, but from 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

✨ 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲

Now, years later, I can finally see how it all connects.

The Higgs field that physicists discovered – that invisible presence giving mass to matter – is exactly what the Bible described all along:

“𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝗺 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴.”

This isn’t just an analogy.

It’s the same principle expressed through two different languages –

𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺,

𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Perhaps what we call the 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 is the physical reflection of 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 – 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

That’s why He is 𝗼𝗺𝗻𝗶𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 – 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁.

🕊️ 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴

If we were simply able to have faith, we wouldn’t need scientific proof.

But 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘆 – with curiosity, logic, and free will –

so that through discovery, we could find Him in His creation.

The tragedy is, when 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗱,

we often fail to understand what it truly means.

Instead of placing faith in the 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿,

we place it in the 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – in human intellect, technology, and our own achievements.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗱. 𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗶𝗺.

🏡 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲

My journey – 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘂 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗶 –

has shown me that every step of discovery, every home I help someone find,

is part of a greater story written by the same God who holds galaxies in His hand.

When I help people find homes here in Pranburi, Pak Nam Pran, Sam Roi Yot, or Hua Hin,

I’m reminded that we are all searching for the same thing –

𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲.

“𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 – 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴.”

And as I look around this quiet coastline, I realize –

🌊 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗸 𝗡𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵, 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗶.
